Competitors Analysis

To carefully create a user-centered design to foster interpersonal interactions or relationships between the elderly citizens and the youth, a survey was deployed to 7 participants via email and social media outlets. The following data is represented by these participants.

ULTTY Blade-less Tower Fan and Air Purifier in one includes True HEPA Filter 99.97% Smoke Dust Pollen Dander, Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote Control R21.

Carkiien 40” Oscillating Tower Fan includes Quiet Settings, Remote Included, Automatic Shutoff, Misting, Oscillating, and Retro.

Branding

Using the ideas of wind, circulation, and the number three, concepts were hand drawn. Further exploring the concept of a circle using interlocking shapes. Leading to the formation of shapes to a "V". Finally combining the concept of warm and cool settings of the product for color.

Low Fidelity

The design follows a simple flow with quick functions to change. Playing with layout and text to convey just the right amount of information.

High Fidelity

High fidelity mockups were completed after feedback from course classmates after developments of the low-fidelity mockups.

Shape Building

Different shapes were constructed to test the structure and look of the fan as a whole piece. Along with the structure, the features were also further examined. Testing the placement and look of details. The final shape is rectangular with hollow inner pieces for a modern look.

3D Modeling

The formation of the basic shape as an individual and as a whole unit. Starting to create details in the unit by adding grips to the sides of the unit for simple detachment.

Final Product

The final version of the Vorso Fan was given a smooth gray metallic texture. It can be seen as a single unit or combined together to create a whole unit structure.
